Do not judge a bar by its exterior...

The Christian's Spring Hotel & Tavern is located in Nazareth, PA and was established in 1860.  After purchasing the hotel in 2004, and expending a little blood, some tears and a few thousand hours on a filthy restoration, Lin and Fred have finally reached the end of quite a dark tunnel...we are now open for business!

...And please excuse the building's well worn facade, for our efforts have been focused on the interior spaces of the tavern.  We would like to think of the distressed exterior as...historically charming.

We are not your typical bar...

We have a great jukebox, about 1,000 books, a 50 cent pool table, darts, ring the bull, room to relax and...

Slow food...

We don't have the biggest menu in town, but our vittles are truly homemade and slow cooked the old fashioned way...

A message to our patrons...

We look forward to reviving the traditional role of our tavern as a meeting place.  A place to imbibe and celebrate as well as a place to exchange and debate ideas. The building itself has borne witness to much history; Abraham Lincoln was still campaigning for President the year it was built.  For nearly 150 years it has sheltered people through the best and worst of times.  The hotel has been a stagecoach stop and even a brothel during Prohibition.  Further back in time these grounds were known as Christiansbrunn, a Moravian colony established in 1749, 27 years before the Revolution.  So stop by and find a few hours refuge from this hectic world, reflect a moment, meet some interesting people, shoot the shit and, most of all, have a damn good time.

Regards,

Lin Webber & C.M. Frederick (Fred)
